Stopped by Smitty’s Market to try out their BBQ Brisket! I was very disappointed with the brisket, it had a good smokey taste, but it was very chewy. Almost like eating Jerky! They did try to fix things and the piece of brisket they brought me was better, but still a little chewy. Cash only and pay separate for meats and sides.
I can not recommend this place for brisket!

The brisket was okay, I’m not understanding why they send it out to me chopped unless this is common in the state. I did send it back and ask for it sliced.The brisket had a good flavor, but it was dry and certainly did not melt in my mouth. I should have got the pork after I tasted it. Because it certainly tastes better than the brisket. The best thing that I tasted in this restaurant was the beans, I was told that they put the beans in with the smoker. Maybe I just shouldn’t judge the BBQ in other states by the brisket, but what they’re known for.

I stopped at the Pecan Lodge before I hit the International Motorcycle Show! Oh my! All I can say is it was awesome BBQ! The brisket was falling apart and it melted in my mouth! And the burnt end was just as good! I put the Pecan Lodge in my Top 3 BBQ Joint Knocking Hutchins BBQ down to the 4th position!

Got an invite from Vicky From “Vicky VanGo” and Lola from “Lost On Land Again” for lunch at David’s BBQ. Robin and I hop in the Robin Mobile and headed over to Pantego where Dave’s Barbecue is located! When we arrived at Dave’s Barbecue, Vicky and Lola we’re standing outside waiting for us. We had a great time visiting with Vicky and Lola at Dave’s Barbecue. The BBQ was good and better with their BBQ sauce, the fried okra rock and the coleslaw was awesome! And Thanks to Jimmy Harris for chatting with me!
I went over to moms house, with my brother and sister to go over some of the paperwork, the will, and some photos. I took a snap shop with my iPhone on one of the photos and didn’t edit with Adobe Photoshop, and it turned out much better than I expected.
Later that night Robin and I watched the final episode .Game Of Thrones for this season. The finale was pretty good and it left me wanting more. I know next year is the final season for Game Of Thrones.
